Each Tuesday at 4:30 p.m., the Uptown Grand Central plaza is host to pop-up performances featuring artists from neighborhood partners including the Harlem Arts Festival, the Caribbean Cultural Center African Diaspora Institute, El Barrio Latin Jazz Festival & The Studio Museum in Harlem.  The line-up includes:

September 6: Beats of the African Diaspora with The Befo' Quotet in partnership with the Caribbean Cultural Center

September 13: Bomba and plena with Juan Usera y La Tribu in partnership with the Caribbean Cultural Center

September 20: Garifuna rhythms from Afro-Central America with The Garifuna International Band in partnership with the Caribbean Cultural Center

September 27: Afro beats and blends from AyoinMotion in partnership with the Caribbean Cultural Center

October 4: Modern Cubon son and funk with Funky Guajiro in partnership with the El Barrio Latin Jazz Festival

October 11: Son-inspired rhythms with Jainardo Batista y Kumbakin in partnership with the El Barrio Latin Jazz Festival

October 18 & 25: Spinning global soul music with Ian Friday & Manchildblack in partnership with The Studio Museum in Harlem
