Location: 124th Street b/t Third & Lex

ONe Rad Latina is a self-taught multidisciplinary visual artist who was raised in both the Upper Manhattan neighborhood of Inwood (in an area known to locals as Dyckman and Santiago) and in Dominican Republic, to Dominican and Puerto Rican parents. An avid feminist, anti-racist and advocate for the Neurodiverse community of which she is a part, ONe is actively engaged in finding ways to open the mind of others through her impactful and often times highly colorful artwork. This piece depicts Atabey, the supreme goddess of the Taino people who were the original inhabitants of Puerto Rico. Look close and you may notice relics of a red line that was tagged onto the piece after its creation. ONe incorporated the line into the mural, saying: "Red lines make Atabey stronger. She, the great mother, made the hurricanes that churn the Caribbean sea and destroy ships. She made the great mountains where men vanish never to be seen again. Atabey, mother of the Ciguapa, fears none. We are her children and we are still here."
