Gabriel Castillo is a recent transplant from the Dominican Republic who has developed intentional roots in the heart of Washington Heights, a nexus of Black and Latino vibrance. As an illustrator, painter and creative director, he works with a number of community-based organizations in East Harlem, including JVS Project Space. Flor Khan is a writer and poet originally from Los Angeles, California. When she’s not crafting love poems, she’s dabbling in collage art and sculpting pieces centered on collective liberation.
