OPEN STREETS: 101st Street

Open Streets are coming back for another season! Join us this weekend to open 101st Street for the spring and summer.

On Friday evenings and Saturday and Sunday afternoons, join us for outdoor seating at East 101st and Lex, where you can get takeout from local spots, or bring snacks from home. Participating local businesses include Au Jus Oklahoma BBQ, Chu Ros Thai, Frenchy Coffee, Harlem Baking Co., Lexington Pizza Parlour, Mojo Mousse Bar & Pro Thai.

For the spring, the schedule will also include:

— Botanical Creation Stations by Queens Botanical Garden (Saturdays, 1-2 p.m.)

— Zumba by BodySculpt (Saturdays, 2-3 p.m.)

— Reading Room thanks to Street Lab (Weekend afternoons)

— Live Music with area musicians (Weekend afternoons).

There’ll also be raffles from the businesses, plus sidewalk chalk and games. Wear your mask, and be kind to the neighbors! Social distancing staff are always in place, provided by Positive Workforce.
