Hop on the Jingle Train -- and ride your way from to mambo to jazz, gospel to reggae, and soul to salsa! Drawing on Harlem's rich music traditions, the Jingle Train is a trolley that will run from the historic home of African-American culture on 125th Street, to the main corridor of El Barrio on 116th Street.

The Jingle Train is a part of Make Music NY Winter celebrations that are taking place across the city on Saturday, December 21, the Winter Solstice — the longest, darkest night of the year.

Sponsored by Uptown Grand Central and produced in partnership with We R El Barrio, the trolley will run a loop from the Harlem Night Market at La Marqueta to the 125th Street-Harlem Metro-North stationwith stops at local small businesses along the way. Musicians will also play for all six hours inside the trolley, hopping on and off every hour or so -- so you can experience multiple musical genres:

Parranda with We R El Barrio & Los Pleneros de la 21 (plus holiday harmonica lessons with Jiayi He of "America’s Got Talent” fame)

4 p.m. -- All-Star Jazz Musicians with Roz Nixon at The Brownstone
5 p.m. -- Jesse Daniel from the Force MDs at The Brownstone
6 p.m. -- Adja Vibes at Uptown Veg
7 p.m. -- LaDell Mclin's Experience at Ginjan Cafe
8 p.m. -- Freddy Harris Three (Caribbean Pan) at Jahlookova at Eatery 125

HARLEM NIGHT MARKET AT 116TH STREET:
4-10 p.m. -- Your favorite D.J.s on the turntables, including Ted Smooth, Stormin' Norman, Agujita, Tony Touch & D-Nice

Free hand-held Jingle Taps and other percussion instruments courtesy of Rhythm Band Instruments will be available for participants while supplies last so that you can sing and play along!
