The Harlem Night Market at La Marqueta is back this holiday season, and better than ever! We’ll be in full effect the first three Saturdays in December from 3-7 p.m.
This year the market's at a whole new location, at 112th Street & Park Avenue -- at La Marqueta's Lot 2, and the new Urban Garden Center. You'll find bright new market booths featuring dope makers and great food, so bundle up and bring your appetite and pocketbook for holiday eats and shopping, all while supporting local entrepreneurs.
Be ready to boogie, because Uptown Vinyl Supreme will be getting the party started each weekend from 3-5 p.m., with Ted Smooth (December 7), Sunny Cheeba (December 14) and Stormin' Norman (December 21) from 5-7 p.m. orchestrating the sounds.
The first two hours of each market are dedicated to all-ages fun, with hands-on activities at each end of the market. Head to the greenhouse at Urban Garden Center each weekend to make your own Charlie Brown Christmas tree. Then visit La Marqueta's indoor market at 115th Street to create a Three Kings Crown with El Museo del Barrio (December 7) or a Fabric Wreath with Harlem Needle Arts (December 21). At 115th Street, La Marqueta year-round vendor Cocotazo will be offering free Puerto Rican hot chocolate (while supplies last!).
Our final weekend is also Make Music New York, so bring your maracas and panderos to help us officially welcome in Winter with a traditional parranda throughout the market led by Los Pleneros de la 21 (December 21 at 4 p.m.)
Register on Eventbrite to stay in the know for special market updates all month long!
