Fifteen eateries across upper Manhattan will roll out limited-time burgers for a weeklong foodie event.

HARLEM, NY — Burger lovers in upper Manhattan are about to have a very busy week.

The first-ever Uptown Burger Week kicks off Sunday, bringing a lineup of limited-time burger creations to restaurants across Harlem and surrounding neighborhoods.

From March 8 through March 14, 15 eateries will serve exclusive off-menu burger-and-side combos priced at $15 or less.

The weeklong food event aims to spotlight uptown restaurants while keeping meals affordable at a time when dining out prices continue to climb.

Participating spots include neighborhood favorites like Sylvia's Restaurant, Harlem Shake, Harlem Tavern and Chocolat Restaurant & Bar, along with a mix of newer and lesser-known establishments offering their own twists on the classic burger.

Some of the creations lean classic — like Harlem Shake’s "One-Week Wonder," a double-patty beef burger with maple bacon and special sauce on a Martin’s potato roll. Others take a more global approach.

At Cocotazo, the "Jibarito Burger" swaps out a traditional bun for flattened fried green plantains and layers pernil with garlic aioli, mayoketchup and pickled onions.

Uptown Veg will offer a plant-based option topped with smashed plantains and vegan sauces, while Indomable Coffee is serving a burger topped with al pastor pork and avocado.

Several restaurants are also drawing inspiration from their cultural roots.

The Senegalese burger at Harlem Cafe features Gruyère cheese and caramelized onions, while La Fonda Boricua will offer a guava bacon burger that pairs sweet jam with a classic beef patty.

Other participating spots include The Edge Harlem, Mama T, Winnie Said, Azara Kitchen, NBHD Brulee and The Nephew’s Supper Club.

The event is organized by Uptown Food Weeks in partnership with Uptown Grand Central and The Best of Harlem.

Organizers say it’s the first of several themed food weeks planned for 2026, with future events expected to focus on tacos, wings, sweets and more.

The burger specials are available only during the seven-day event and will disappear from menus after March 14.

More information and the full lineup of burgers can be found at the Uptown Food Weeks website.
