TRICK OR TREAT, OPEN-STREET STYLE. A grab-and-go Halloween for you and your grouping of family and friends.
This Saturday, October 31, from 2-6 p.m., we'll be doing trick-or-treat, Open Street-style with a grab-and-go Halloween at both Pleasant Avenue and 101st Street. There'll be plenty of candy and pumpkins, plus time for photo shoots with your costume.
This Halloween may be different than in years past, but there's still room for fun and candy! You're invited to one of East Harlem's two Open Streets for grab-and-go treats and a photo shoot in your costume.
THE DETAILS:
* PICK YOUR STREET: 101ST OR PLEASANT. We’re hosting two locations, so there's enough space for us to all be comfortably six feet apart.
* GRAB-AND-GO: The plan is to move family/friend groups through quickly, so you’ll walk through in one direction, picking up treats along the way.
* COSTUMES & CAMERAS: Bring both! While we can’t do activities that require a lot of touching, we will have a photo backdrop so you can get pumpkin pics with the kids.
* TICKETS: Eventbrite tickets are listed by the Open Street and by the hour, in order to help us plan ahead to accommodate everyone. However, printed tickets are not required for entry. Since this is a grab-
Pleasant Avenue will also feature:
* Pick-your-own produce sales at Pleasant Village Community Garden -- 10 a.m.-2 p.m.
* Flu shots by Boriken Neighborhood Health Center -- 10 a.m.-4 p.m.
* COVID rapid and antibody tests, plus flu shots -- 11 a.m.-5 p.m.
* Harlem Restaurant Week Pop-Up by SpaHa Soul at Bistro Casa Azul -- 1-5 p.m.
* Halloween Zumba with Leo Zumba -- 2-3 p.m.
